what a wonderful event you organized! thank you very much for inviting me to come. it was exhilarating to be involved in a gathering with such spirit and motivation. nalmc lives!

i excitedly told paul catanzaro all about the nalmc mtg, and shared the images of the famous kiosk!
you have a great thing going there. don't worry about the details of the state, management plans, or any of that other stuff.
did you notice how that never came up in the conversation last night? my sense is:
nobody really cares that much.
instead, focus on unique and innovative ways to gather people, draw them together, exchange information, and be supportive. that's what i heard people saying last night!
indeed, becoming too "close" to state orgs or trying to wedge landowners into some state master plan i fear would be conterproductive.
